Cabinet Pyrite over Quartz with Calcite on Fluorite from Morocco

This great piece features a bed of quartz crystals topped by a coating of glittering pyrite with calcite, all over some etched fluorite crystals. An ultraviolet light exposes contrasting fluorescent hues- the calcite glows bright pink while the fluorite glows bluish purple. The specimen is from El Hammam Mine, Mount Hammam, Meknes, Meknes-Tafilalet Region, Morocco.
